Lighthouse built in 1864
At the end of Possidi beach, there is an old lighthouse that has been painted white.
The lighthouse was built in 1864. When it was first built, it was pretty close to the water, but now the water is farther away. The sand stretch was made later when silt started to build up.
This lighthouse in the colonial style is still in use, and there is a small flower yard around it that makes it look even better.
Few kilometres to the west is the temple of Poseidon, which was built on a small piece of land next to the water.
